Our Committees

  • Training coordinators provide hands-on beginner and professional training and courses on DJing techniques and skills. Committee-members maintain a curriculum for each course level, develop learning resources, and teach weekly group workshops.

The committee also coordinates guest speaker events.

  • The Events committee organizes and executes club social events. They secure venues, create themes, and coordinate logistics.

  • The Placement committee builds and maintains our relationships with external organizations, local nightclubs, and bars. They handle requests for DJs and actively promote members.

  • The Marketing committee manages the club’s online presence, creates promotional materials including video content, and devises strategies to enhance the club's reputation both within and outside the university – ensuring DJ@Penn is the go-to source for DJ talent at Penn and in the local community.

  • The Management Board contains the directors of all committees, as well as the club president and treasurer.

As well as overseeing major decisions, they:

    • Ensure DJ@Penn is a welcoming, supportive, and happy community.

    • Maintain and update the long-term vision and annual goals for DJ@Penn.

    • Create policies for club governance and member conduct.

    • Develop strategies for attracting members and keeping members engaged.

    • Ensure the club is diverse.

    • Ensure effective communication within the club and between committees.

    • Maintain club records, including membership data and meeting minutes.

    • Ensure adherence to university policies and legal requirements.
